Ordering Lunch
Currently children in P1-P5 are entitled to a free school lunch. Children in P6 & P7 currently have to pay for a school lunch.
If your child orders a school lunch the will order their lunch at home and/or in school via iPay. For more information on iPay please see, Schools | Falkirk Council.
We would encourage all children entitled to free school lunches to take a school lunch. All school lunches meet the Scottish Nutritional Guidance for Food and Drink in Schools.
Please contact beancrossprimaryschool@falkirk.gov.uk if your child has specific medical or religious dietary requirements. Our catering team do an excellent job of catering for all dietary requirements.
Lunch Options
There are usually 3 main options (with vegetarian options) children will receive a lunch band to help them to remember their lunch order.
- Green band (Hot option)
- Yellow band (Hot option)
- Blue Band (Cold/lighter meal option)
Menu
The 3-week menu cycle meets the newly revised Scottish Nutritional Guidance for Food and Drink in Schools. Every meal served includes a portion of fruit and 2 portions of vegetables.
Where children select Option 3: Homemade Soup, a piece of fruit and a crunchy vegetable bag is included with this meal choice.

Please note: iPay pre ordering choices for our primary menu are now loaded for pupils returning in August. Menus may be subject to change due to the continued issues with the global food supply chain.
