Breakfast Club 

(Accessed via the Main Hall Doors from Montgomery Street)

Our Breakfast Club runs every morning to give learners a nutritious start to the day. Children can choose from cereal, toast, fruit or yoghurt, along with a drink.

• Cost: £2.40 per child, or £4.80 per family (covering two or more siblings).

• Free School Meals: The club is free for families entitled to Free School Meals (FSM). Please ensure your FSM application has been submitted and approved.

9:00am

School Begins

We don't use a school bell. At 9am our learners from P4-7 should come into the building via the Kenilworth Street playground entrance.

Our support team will help learners in Primary 1 - 3 to line up for their teacher at 9am. 

 

To help keep our playground safe and orderly, we ask that parents drop their children off at the school gates.If you need to speak with a member of staff, please contact the school office to arrange a time.

 

Interval

Children head outdoors for breaktime to play and socialise. If the weather is severe, they will stay indoors instead. Just as it is in our nursery, the children will have access to the outdoors in various types of weather. It is important that children are dressed for the weather in order that they can enjoy their play experiences. 

 

Snack and Story

Either just before or straight after interval, classes enjoy 'Snack and a Story' time, where learners eat their snack while listening to their teacher read aloud. We actively encourage healthy options and kindly ask that no fizzy drinks are sent into school.

 

Lunch

Families can choose one of two options for lunchtime:

School Lunch: 

• School Meals: Lunches are free for all learners in Primary 1 to 5. Children in Primary 6 and 7 can purchase a meal.

• Our catering team safely accommodates all dietary requirements, and you can view the current menu on the Falkirk Council Primary School Meals page.

• Lunches are paid for in advance using the Falkirk Council iPay system.

 

Packed Lunch 

• Packed Lunches: Children can bring their own packed lunch (such as a sandwich, fruit, yoghurt, and a drink) in a clearly named lunchbox or container.

 

3:00pm School Finishes

• Primary 1–3: Children must be collected by an adult from the Montgomery Street playground.

• Primary 4–7: Learners can make their own way home or meet an adult outside the school gates at Kenilworth Street.  

 

School Bus

The school bus collects children between 3:05pm and 3:15pm. A member of staff escorts P1 - P4 learners to the bus. Primary 5 - 7 learners make their own way to the bus.

After-School Clubs

We run a wonderful variety of sports and activity clubs from September through to June. You can view the current schedule and book a space for your child directly through our ClassForKids booking platform .
